Finding a cheap White Corner Computer Desk
Cheap white corner computer desks are easy to come by – you just have to be a little creative and willing to do some hunting. So, if you’re looking for an affordable workstation, keep reading for a few great hints and tips on where you can find innovative and creative desks on the cheap.
Hardware Tool Tables
Shop and tool tables make a fantastic white corner computer desk substitute. They’re durable, inexpensive, ready to work and even have a unique, industrial design. To increase your makeshift desk’s longevity, throw on a few coats of protective varnish to prevent rings or spills from staining the wood surface.
Build on your workshop style and put up a workman’s peg board over your desk. You can then use it to hang your whiteboard or work and computer supplies like network drives, hubs and other computer peripherals and accessories.
The Build it Yourself White Corner Computer Desk
You will be able to make your own desk easily and simply. Using a basic pattern for a table or a specific desk plan, you can construct cheap white corner computer desks with a single sheet of plywood and for well under $50.
Try the website Free Woodworking Plans (freeww.com) for links to a number of free carpentry and woodworking plans that you can use to build your white corner computer desk.
If you don’t own a power saw or are uncomfortable doing your own cutting, you can often have your wood cut for you free of charge at your local hardware store. That means you’ll only be dealing with the final construction and finishing of the desk. Keep in mind though that most hardware stores, to ensure employee safety, limit their cuts to pieces that are at least 12 inches long.
The Recycled White Corner Computer Desk
Who says a desk has to be a desk and a table has to be a table? Get creative with your work surfaces and transform a vintage 1950s table into a cool desk or a classic antique flea market find into a traditional office work surface. And yes, you can even buy a used white corner computer desk and benefit from it too.
To score some great finds of old desks or tables, keep your eye on local garage sales. While consignment stores, charity shops and flea markets may have good finds, they often don’t have the great deals you can pick up at garage sales.
Options at Ikea
So, it may not be as fun as building your own desk or digging through garbage for a gem, but Ikea offers a huge selection of cheap white corner computer desks. While their desks aren’t made from the finest materials or to the highest standards, they are affordable and capable of filling a short term need.
Different Styles of White Corner Computer Desks
A lot of people don’t put a lot of thought into white corner computer desks. They figure they just need a nice place to sit down and get work done. If that’s you, then maybe you should think about all the cool options that are out there. You can really turn the desk into something more than a workstation. It can be a piece of the furniture that really accentuates the rest of the room. Of course, if you’re looking into different desk options for an office, most of this won’t be a concern to you. However, it’s still pretty helpful to know what your options are.
The classic roll top types are still a fan favorite because they’re so excellent at covering up a disorganized mess as well as keeping important files secure. However, you can get locks on just about any model so don’t let that be the main selling point for you. The next most popular model is the classic L shaped type. These are perfect for fitting into any corner, and they’re also great as a two person type. You can have a computer on one part and a printer on the other, or whatever you want to do with it. Some people will actually put a hutch or credenza on one half and not the other. It’s really up to you. There is also a U shaped model available, though they’re much less common.
If you’re setting up a home office, then it’s going to be a really important decision for you. You want to make sure that you have a nice ergonomic chair; otherwise you’ll end up hurting yourself or falling asleep. This can’t be stressed enough, as you won’t get much work done and you’ll end up wasting time and money. So be sure to put a lot of thought into it and don’t take it lightly.
As for colors, you can take your pick. You can paint it white, or just leave it the way you get it. You might like a dark cherry, or you might want to paint it another matching color. Either way, just make sure it doesn’t stick out in the room. Otherwise you won’t get much work done there. And keep in mind that the contemporary thing to do is add an armoire next to the unit. It adds a really nice balance and allows you even more storage. If they’re matching or connected, that’s even better.
Adding Style and Elegance with a White Corner Computer Desk
A white computer desk is the best choice for you if you are all about style. You can add a great deal to the visual appeal of your room with a white desk. Representing a mix of old Oriental and European design styles, white desks are set apart by their transitional design style. They offer a complete mix of the old and the new. Natural-wood desks with a hand-finish are relatively more beautiful. When it comes to white desks, you can choose between something which gives your place either a classical or contemporary touch.
Getting a white chair along with your white desk is a good idea. It will give an impression of completion. As compared to ordinary computer desks which are usually black or brown, white computer desks are eye-catching. The transitional-style of white desks will be very attractive and impressive for your guests.
White desks beat the dust problem very well. They practically hide dust. This is very different from what the owner of a black or brown desk has to do (i.e., wipe the desk one to two times a day).
The desks are most commonly made from plywood, hardwood, veneer or a heavy-duty MDF material, with a white PVC finishing. More expensive desks are made from a natural wood, such as a white hand-finished maple.
When buying a white computer desk, visual appeal is not the only thing to consider. Your desk must be comfortable, practically functional and long-lasting. The desk should have a roll-out keyboard tray, a separate area for the CPU unit, shelves for certain type of equipment (such as printer and scanner) and compartments for documents. Drawers are also an important to have feature.
If you are getting yourself a complex desk, make sure it is pre-assembled. Putting a complex desk together can be tedious, especially if it comes with a number of shelves and compartments. Not all desks are truly white, as some have a rather dull white color making other colors of the wood or finishing obvious.
A white computer desk is a good accessory for both youngsters and grown ups. Childrens’ rooms can be greatly beautified by bringing in a white computer desk.
A white computer desk will give you a feeling of coziness and let you express your style well. Be it a living or workplace, a white desk can be the best decorative item you can buy yourself.
I need to redecorate my room on a low budget. Suggestions?
I’m a student so I have a low budget. My room has light blue walls and one wall is dark blue. My desk and bookshelves and extremely small but built into the wall and I have a cupboard not a wall closet. On top of this I have a plain wooden vanity and a glass coffee table in one corner with a printer on top of it. The printer is too far from my computer which is horizontally opposite. My desk is so small that none of my school books will fit on it if I keep my lap-top on it. My bed is white and blue , twin size and in the middle of the room. Also I’m an avid reader so one side of my closet is for my books and I have no space for newer ones. I really need storage and to amp up my room. Suggestions would be great
Basically, I have a small room and I want to completely redecorate it. The bookshelves, desk and cupboard must stay but nothing else has to.
How Do you like this room? (Teen Room)?
Hey! I’m re-doing my room like this…tell me what you like about it & dislike.

Does my teacher like me more than a student?
Hey (:
Here’s a little background between my teacher & I. I’m 17, & he’s 27. I had him my sophomore year, & then again my junior year. I’m a senior now but I don’t have him as my teacher.
If you’re wondering yes I do like him. Whether he feels the same, I have no idea. I seriously doubt it but I just wanted to get more opinions on what other people thought.
It’s the normal type of signs, he’ll look at me then quickly turn away, red in the face & smiling to himself when I look at him. He’ll give me these really cocky smirks every time I pass him in the halls. During my junior year he would always mess around with me. Once he even came over to my desk & got really close to my face to whisper something into my ear but that only happened once. Last year we had a lock down in his class so we all piled onto the floor in front of his white board. This one boy asked if he could lay his head in my lap. I said sure. I could actually feel his eyes on me but I just ignored it until this one kid said, "Hey, Mr. M look at Marissa, & (Boy’s Name)." He looked straight into my eyes, & glared at me then turned back to his computer. I was like, what the heck?
The most recent ones have probably been the weirdest. Every time he sees me he still turns red & smiles to himself. Random fact about me, I’m in the Marching. Well Mr. M always goes to games with a few other teacher’s from school. Every time he see’s me he stares at me, constantly. Last home football I went to go sit with my parents during our break. Well Mr. M was sitting two steps above them. I made my way past him to get to my parents & I caught him staring at me. I watched him out of the corner of my eye, & every 10 seconds he would look at me, like stare, then smile to himself. After our break was over I was trying to make my way back up the stands. Well our uniforms are unbelievably tight so it’s really hard to move in them. Someone left their chairs sitting on the stands & I couldn’t get over them. I could see him looking at me out of the corner of my eye. I knew if I looked at him he was going to ask if I needed any help but I wasn’t going to let myself look at him. Instead my friend grabbed my hand & helped me over. Oh my gosh, I was so beyond embarrassed! D; A few seconds later after I made it to the top I caught him turn around & look at me. He smirked then quickly turned back around.
It seems that when we run into each other out of school he’s more bolder with the way he acts around me, if that makes any sense. Sorry if it doesn’t.
There’s a million other experiences that has happened between us but I don’t want to bore you.
Any ideas? What are your opinions? Do you think I’m over thinking it?
Oh, & excuse my horrible spelling & grammar.
By the way I don’t ever plan on acting on my feelings even after I do graduate. I don’t want him losing his job over something I did.
Thank you for reading. (:
I didn’t mean bolder like touchy touchy kind of thing.
I’ve known the man for almost 3 years now & there’s not way in heck he would ever do something like that. Just sayin’

That’s about it. The price comes about 10.000$. That’s no problem. The problem is are all those parts compatible?
Only answer if you know!!! Don’t leave comments about the system here!! Other things like wireless cards and stuff, will be installed later on. Norton Internet Security 2011 will also be installed. I’m pretty sure it can handle games, but can it max them out????
Thanks.
Hah, thanks a lot. I am already checking and double checking the components, but i just wanted a second opinion. The computer isn’t really for me, it’s for a close friend living cross the street. When it comes down to computers, he’s a complete noob!
That’s why i find the parts for him. But he owes me, and he will repay, by letting me playing whenever i want on his pc!
Is this a good description for the house in my story?
Please Critique!
Of all places including London and Paris and Ireland, our story starts in America in a small English Brick home. The bricks are red, and there is always a light shining in at least one of the windows. The house has a scent of pine, and the living room is painted a dazzling light blue. A sofa and matching chair are both dressed in cozy cream-colored slip-covers. Wooden, the floor stretches all across the room with no carpet to hide it. A small TV sits on a set by the wall. On the coffee table sits a little pot of red roses. Across the small hallway is the kitchen where she cooks. The walls are the same color as the living room. There is a set of mahogany chairs gathered around their mother table. Another pot of roses is sitting in the middle of this table. But these roses are white. As in most kitchens, there is a stainless white counter, oven, refrigerator, and cabinets. The sink is in the middle of the counter.
The bedroom is right next to the kitchen. There is a green bedding on the king sized bed, the walls glow an olive green, and the wardrobe is mahogany. Most bedrooms have closets, but this one doesn’t. She hangs her clothing on the right side of the wardrobe, and he hangs his on the left. Then there is the office right across the hall with file cabinets and plain while walls. A desk sits in the middle holding a computer with a keyboard. All day she will hear the tap tap tap of his fingers on the keys.
Upstairs there is only one room. The nursery of the baby. The walls glow a soft yellow brightened y the sun coming in from the window. A bassinette rests by one wall, dressed in yellow with white lace. There is a rocking chair sitting next to the bassinette, and a toybox filled with baby toys and big brown teddy bears sits across from it. The changing table is filled with diapers and clothing for the baby. The basement holds a family room with walls colored dark red and a big fireplace in front of a big couch. A bar rests in one corner, and there is another television set in the other corner.
My couches are blue, the drapes are an off-white cream color, now what?
My coffee table is black and has 3 off-white candles in this pretty clear dish. I have a small black entertainment stand with a TV, a black book shelf, and a black computer desk in the corner, and a black and white Photo of a dead tree on the wall.
This all just doesnt match, it did with my old couches and drapes.. but now what? How can I pull this all together? I am willing to get rid of all furniture (and plan to get rid of the computer desk and put it in our bedroom)
so help? color ideas? ???!
